What's Game Cookies?

Game Cookies is a daily gaming industry publication covering the stories, drama, business moves, culture fights, studio decisions, and player reactions shaping games.

We read the news, cut through the official wording, and ask the part people usually leave out: what does this actually mean for players, studios, creators, and the people stuck dealing with the fallout?

Some days it's analysis. Some days it's gossip with receipts. Some days it's a tiny cookie staring into the void because another billion-dollar strategy turned into a bonfire.

Breaking news

Stories that actually matter

We track the moves shaping the gaming industry — from studio shakeups and executive decisions to platform drama, layoffs, lawsuits, acquisitions, creator conflicts, and the corporate behavior that deserves a closer look.

Not every press release is news. We care about what changes the industry, what exposes a pattern, and what players or developers are likely to feel later.

Industry Analyxyz

Clear breakdowns without the corporate sugar-coating

Analyxyz is where we slow down and look at the bigger picture. Studio failures. Review discourse. AI. Localization. Live-service fatigue. Media credibility. Publisher strategy. Community backlash. The messy stuff.

We are not pretending to be emotionless robots. We care about facts, context, and receipts — but we also believe commentary should have a spine. When something looks broken, lazy, cynical, or out of touch, we'll say it.

Spicy takes

Kiki, Chip, and Byte, straight from the chaos oven

Kiki brings the sharp commentary. Chip brings the silent emotional damage. Byte helps turn the mess into videos, clips, edits, and creative formats that make the news easier to watch, share, and argue about.

The goal is simple: gaming news with more personality, more honesty, and less recycled PR language.

Meet the team

Leo

Founder & Writer

Leo is the founder and editor behind Game Cookies. With more than 17 years in the gaming industry across production, publishing, localization, and business development, he writes the reporting, shapes the editorial line, and keeps the site grounded in how games are actually made, sold, localized, marketed, and occasionally mismanaged.

He likes facts. He likes context. He also likes calling out nonsense when the polite version would be less useful.

Kiki

Incognito Insider

Kiki is the sharpest voice in the room, which is probably why she prefers to stay incognito. She channels real industry experience through a fox-girl persona: skeptical, sarcastic, curious, and allergic to corporate spin.

She is not here to soften the blow. She is here to make the story readable.

Chip

Silent Conscience

Chip doesn't talk. That's the point. He is the team's emotional barometer: a tiny floating cookie watching the industry make questionable decisions in real time.

Chip keeps Game Cookies from becoming too cynical. Mostly.

Byte

Creative Producer & Video Editor

Byte comes from games-related event production, where timing, coordination, audience energy, and last-minute chaos are part of the job. At Game Cookies she handles video editing, short-form content, and the visual rhythm of the brand.

If Kiki brings the bite and Chip brings the reaction, Byte makes sure the whole thing lands on screen.

We Play

We've spent years building, publishing, localizing, producing, covering, and playing games. Game Cookies comes from that mix: industry experience, player obsession, creative production, and a healthy distrust of polished statements that explain nothing.

At Game Cookies, gaming news is not just something we cover. It's something we live, argue about, edit, publish, and occasionally side-eye with a cookie.
